When I was 6 years old, my brother Nicholas Charles Glancy was born. He'll actually be turning 15 on February 17th. But Nicholas isn't like any normal boy, he was diagnosed with ADHD and later with Autism before he turned 4. Right after he was born he seemed like any normal boy; he would respond to facial expressions and was developing just fine socially. But after his 18 month immunizations, things started to change. He would throw tantrums for no apparent reason and my mom could never figure out how to calm him down. He avoided eye contact with anyone that would hold him and seemed like he was in his own little world all the time. My mom had my brother Matthew when I was 8 and then my brother Aaron when I was 12. The same thing happened to them as well, they would seem fine up until that 18 month mark. After my brother Matthew was diagnosed my mom started searching for answers, trying diets and all different forms of herbal supplements. It didn't seem to work. Then Aaron was diagnosed and my mom starting looking into the affects of immunizations. My youngest brother, Christian, came into the world and is the only kid my mom has had that hasn't received immunizations. What about the chicken pox vaccine? Nope. How is Christian now?
Well he's a 4 year old genius. He started identifying letters going through Costco when he was 9 months old, started reading when he was 1 and now can spell and do simple math.
My bias is extreme and I know that. But watching Christian develop has made me appreciate what I have so much. Nicholas, Matthew, and Aaron are all extremely special to me, and I know that they are this way for a reason. But I hate when people argue that immunizations don't cause defects. In my psychology class my professor went on a rant on how people who thought such a think were ill educated and dumb. I know my mom is definitely not alone in this theory and really hope that others try to look at the statistics and issues it's causing a family, and not just as the science.
Aw, that sounds rough to have your professor indirectly calling you ill educated. That sounds very reasonable that it had to do with the immunizations! Theoretical science can be a bother at times because it's based on "educated guesses," and could be wrong. You all look like such a cute happy family with so much love. I hope your brother Christian doesn't get the chicken pox, and maybe he won't since maybe the virus is almost extinct. :)
