Middle-class youth? Lower-income youth? Are you drawing from personal experience or observation of others you know for this topic? Is this a negative or positive influence? It could be really interesting to go against the typical "negative influences" and find positive ones: only, of course, if that's actually a point you would believe/want to argue.
Interesting topic...I think a lot of people are skeptical about the real effects of music and don't take it seriously. (I'm kind of in between, I listen to it but agree that it can have an influence)
What does it influence? Parties, drinking, etc?
