Honestly, I like anything that is digestible (besides fish, which I personally think it is completely disgusting). Throughout my life, I could easily eat french fries for any meal of the day. It doesn't matter if they are curly, stringy, or baked; french fries taste good with practically anything. What enhances their quality is hamburgers. People would try to convince me that McDonalds is the grossest fast food restaurant, but I absolutely love it. In some ways, I would prefer a hamburger over a nice expensive meal.
A meal that was a turning point in my life was a steakhouse during prom. I hated mushrooms and would try to avoid them at all costs. But as I was sitting there eating my steak, I unconsciously was eating mushrooms. I thought they were actually good, and from then on, I was fine in having mushrooms. Another meal that was a turning point was putting peanut butter on my waffles. At first I thought it would taste and feel weird, but it was amazing! I now have a hard time eating waffles without peanut butter on it. There are plenty of meal that I love, but have to be in the right mood to have it. Mexican and Chinese dishes are great examples of this. A meal that I absolutely refuse to eat is salmon. I think life would be better if we just gave up our salmon and provided it to the bears. It smells terrible and the texture isn't pleasant. But this is my own personal opinion.
Many restaurants get their ingredients from farms that can produce large quantities in a climate well-suited for the crop. Idaho is a perfect example of a climate that can easily mass produce large quantities of potatoes. Ranchers also provide beef for the hamburgers. Sometimes as I sit there eating a hamburger at the cannon center, I wonder how much beef can a cow provide. It turns out that cows give consumers hundreds of pounds of beef. So overall, hamburgers and french fries is the greatest combination of food! They may not be the healthiest meals in the world, but they are one of the most satisfying ones!
I am glad to know that there are others out there that love McDonalds like I do! Seriously their chicken Mcnuggets are so good. Anywho I enjoyed your post. I used to be in the same boat as you--not liking fish and all. But then one time I went fishing and actually caught a fish myself, and that fish was the best I had ever tasted :). I am sure it had nothing to do with the fact that I caught it..
ReplyDeleteOk I definitely love hamburgers, but NOT McDonald's hamburgers. I think that homemade, barbequed hamburgers are so much better. But that's just my opinion. And I actually like salmon, especially the way my dad makes it. Maybe you just haven't had it prepared a good way. Even though I disagree with some food choices, I do like peanut butter on pancakes and waffles :) soo yummy!
ReplyDeleteHaha I totally agree with you! Last Christmas our family went around trying all the different hamburgers to see which ones we liked best. We concluded In and Out or Smash Burgers. Anyway they are heaven! I hate salmon as well! It simply gags me at the very thought! Good job in your description! :)
