Week 3- Cars Cars Cars!

Ask any of my friends back in my hometown what my favorite thing in the world is and they will all tell you the same things: I love cars! It is not the mechanical aspect of cars that I like; however, I do find it fascinating the performance numbers and horsepower ratings some cars have. Learning about the features, pricing and new models is what I spend my time learning about. Basically I know what the common car dealer should know and a bit more. I have become so knowledgeable concerning cars that I can name almost any current car just from a quick glance. While this amount of information is extensive and maybe ludicrous, most people should have at least a basic grasp on car information.

Everyone uses a car at some point, at least in America, but do you realize how many options are out there? Cars are rapidly changing and evolving; gaining features to become the most advanced and in turn most helpful in daily life. Take for example the Nissan Leaf that runs off of pure electricity or the Volvo XC60 that can stop itself completely so that you will not hit a pedestrian. These features are reality and I am pretty sure I am part of the 1% of the population that is even aware they exist. Cars are fascinating because they are so diverse yet their sole purpose is to get you from Point A to Point B. Some can do this quick (Bugatti Veyron), others in style (Cadillac CTS Coupe) and several have room in mind (Honda Odessey). Whatever your need, there is probably a car made for you. Did you know that amongst the 15 American Brands alone they produce 110+ models?

Not everyone will share my interest in cars but I bet if you were to look at some of the exciting new models and current technologies you too would be fascinated.

  1. I love how you have such a passion for cars! And it is really such useful information to know about the quality, price, and models of cars. You would definitely be good at being a car salesman. And if I ever buy a car like in the near future I will definitely have you help me out! It's amazing how you can know so much information about so many different kinds of cars! I am definitely impressed!

  2. wow you sound exactly like one of my good friends from back home! He was obsessed with cars too, and knew everything about them! So props to you for knowing that all, because I for one find cars very confusing and hard to keep straight. Good writing though, the picture was definitely a nice effect.

  3. Yay! Another person who loves cars! I tend to focus more on the mechanical aspects of cars, horsepower, 0-60 times and whatnot, but I think it's cool that you look at a broader spectrum of cars. I personally prefer motorcycles over cars, but I still love a new issue of Car and Driver.

  4. Secretly, I've always admired people who know so much about one thing- Cars in particular. I think it is so cool when people just really know what they're talking about. I, too, am very fascinated with all the new technology. The computer still blows my mind. I'm just too lazy to go out there and do the research :)
