If you don't love music, then you're absolutely missing out on quite a bit. Music has a way of turning all everyday tasks into an adventurous journey. There's something about music that creates emotions not felt elsewhere and intensifies feelings to levels not thought possible before. If I'm happy, happy songs make me happier and if I'm sad, sad songs are comforting. If I'm in love, love songs make me feel understood. It evokes possibilities that take far longer to develop when you're watching a movie or reading a book.
Music is very soothing, no matter the type. Whether you're listening to it, playing it, writing it, composing it, it's like a bubble bath for ears. You won't ever want to take your headphones off because even when you're done with one song, there's still another waiting to be heard. Music was created for the reason of entertainment. Now, to many, it is a lifestyle and a passion. Music is found EVERYWHERE from the birds outside to movies to the rain pattering on the roof. You can find music in anything, and music can help you find yourself.
Totally, I always listen to music and it makes me imagine I am in a movie about myself. It makes little tasks become funny TV episodes. I once told my best friend "I wish I had a girlfriend, then I could brake up with her and listen to sad music."
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed this one. You can tell you're passionate about the subject. It was well organized with great imagery, analogies, and examples. I especially loved the line that says "music is like a bubble bath for your ears." It's true, and I thought that was very creative. In fact, your post was so convincing that I plugged in headphones and started listening to music midway, no joke!
ReplyDeleteMusic was one of the things that I actually was thinking about writing about as well. There are just so many things that I love it is so hard to choose just one. You appealed to emotions so well in this blog, it doesn't seem like anybody could disagree with you. I love the feeling that I get when I listen to happy, upbeat music. I could be having the worst of days, and then listen to one of my favorite songs and feel completely better. I also like how you said "music can help you find yourself." If you you had to expand on that in a more formal essay, I think that it could be really interesting!
ReplyDeleteI am so happy that someone posted this! I absolutley love music and everything that you said I completely agree with. Music has a wonderful ability to manipulate your emotions, such as pumping up kind of music played during a football game. I love to have a wide variety of music in my library to accomindate for the different emotions or feelings that I am experiencing that day. Music is a great factor towards movies, especially towards terrifying genres. You brought out great facts to support your claim, you did an awesome job and I did enjoy your writing style.
ReplyDeleteSo I was reading this and I was agreeing with a lot of the things your saying. I love music, and i've spent hours listening to it and playing it on the harp and piano, but there's one thing I'd have to disagree with. You said music is soothing, no matter what the type, but when we're in the car and my brother's screaming AFI comes on....Soothed is the last thing I am feeling.
