You could write about the caffeine issue, though that one has been done and I prefer topics I haven't seen before.
As far as blogging, I would actually be quite interested in a paper that argued for or against the use of different kinds of media in the classroom. I'm sure you've all had experiences with different teaching styles and realized that some are better than others. I say, joking or no, go for it.
