There are few events, experiences, or sensations that happen in life that can be described as phenomenal. Phe-nom-e-nal: very remarkable; extraordinary. Phenomenal is one of my favorite words to describe experiences. Nothing can give as much credit as the world phenomenal. To me it is the ultimate complement in describing greatness. Many of my friends also use the word phenomenal. They mostly use the word to describe some form of food they just ate. One of my favorite examples is " J Dogs is phenomenal." My friends also used it appropriately after our trip to Las Vegas. "That was a simply phenomenal weekend." The texture of the word is just so smooth and fresh so elegant. It is simply the best, the greatest. The taste if I had to say would be something that is sweet and just melts on the tongue. I try to use the word sparingly so people know when something is truly phenomenal. I think that this word is used in great context when it is used in sports. When a spectacular play happens and the sports announcer describes it as phenomenal it brings good emotion to the situation. I think that the use of this word takes something from good and takes it to best. There have been many that have described Michael Jordan as being phenomenal. That is a 100% true statement. Michael Jordan was very remarkable to say the least and he was definitely extraordinary. I like this word so much because I associate it with great memory's, people, and food. When I think of the word I think of the phenomenal experiences I had when I was in high school. I think of the phenomenal food I only get to eat on special occasions. I think of the phenomenal game that Jimmer Fredette had against San Diego State. The word phenomenal to me is happy and positive emotions. So feel free to use this word whenever you feel, see, or experience something that is truly great or extraordinary. Remember that it is a special word and should not be used out of context.
Enjoy
I too love this word. Phenomenal is an extraordinary word because it encompasses so many amazing, descriptive words in just the one. There are many aspects of life that can be described by the word phenomenal, but they have to be truly amazing events/circumstances to deserve the title of phenomenal. You hit it right on the head when you said it must be used sparingly so that when it is used, people know how truly phenomenal that phenomenon really is!
ReplyDeleteJIMMER! Phenomenal is the perfect word to describe that game and especially Jimmer! That was the perfect time to use this word. I agree that you should use this word sparingly though. If you use it too much it looses it's meaning.
ReplyDeleteJimmer was absolutely phenomenal!!! He's the man. There is no better word to describe him.
ReplyDeleteThis word i usually seen used when describing athletes and it is always fun to watch the athletes that are phenomenal.
ReplyDeletePhenomenal is the perfect word to describe Jimmer's performance. The only word that would be better is if the words phenomenal and incredible got together and had a child, and then the words extraordinary and amazing had a child, and then those two kids grew up and had a child and whatever that child was named would be the perfect word! haha. But I agree I like the word phenomenal. It just just sounds phenomenal!
