If there is one thing that I love most in this whole entire world, besides my family, and maybe essentials like food and water, is exercise and sports. There is nothing more satisfying than coming home from a stressful day of school, then heading down to the RB to swim a few laps. I always feel so much better after any type of exercise that I do. Now, I am not one of those body builder maniacs that exercise nonstop. I often don’t have time or the opportunity to play a game of volleyball or swim a few laps, but I know that when I do, there is never anywhere that I would rather be. Exercising makes me feel so much better about myself and my own capabilities. If there is ever a time that I am feeling down on myself, and thinking that I am not smart enough or good enough, I often go exercise. Exercising works miracles for me. Before playing a decent game of volleyball, I can be really unbearable to be around. However, after a good strong workout, I often feel like a whole new person. I know that not everybody feels this way about exercising, but I think that they should. When I find people who enjoy exercising as much as me, I take advantage of that, because as satisfying as it is by myself, it is so much better to exercise with somebody that I know and like.
I have been taking a nutrition class this semester, and there is nothing that is more recommended to keep your body healthy and strong for years to come than exercise. You can go on diet after diet, but without exercise they often don’t do any good. I don’t exercise everyday, and I don’t think that I ever will, but I think that is the best part about it. Exercise is something that I savor, like really good ice cream or a pair of new shoes, so if I did it to often, I wouldn’t like it anymore. If only everybody loved exercising as much as I do, I think that the world would be much happier, because I know that I am happier. Exercising leads to happiness, so why wouldn’t I or anybody else love it?
I definitely agree, exercise is SO relieving for me! I think I could put forth more effort into making time for it, but when I do get around to it, I feel completely refreshed. I typically just stick with running, but I admire that you're versatile with other sports like swimming and volleyball. Haha running is pretty much the generic form of exercise. But good job!
ReplyDeleteI love to exercise too. I don't necessarily always want to do it and sometimes as I am panting and my legs are burning I wonder what on earth I am doing, but when I do take the time out of my schedule to exercise I feel so much better about myself when I am done. It instantly improves my mood. Especially when I am mad or upset about something, it's as though I sweat out all those bad feelings as I work-out. And people need to realize that exercise doesn't have to be just running or going to the gym, you find what works for you and what you like to do. The only way you will stick to an exercise routine is if you enjoy doing it.
ReplyDeleteExercise is amazing! It is surprising how happier you are compared to before you start working out. I saw a study that people are drastically get happier after doing a good dosage of exercising. Not only does it make you fit, but it also gives you a sense of accomplishment. It is always fun to gear your exercise towards sports to the point that you don't even realize that you are sweating after all of the running and blocking. There are so many benefits from exercising, it almost seems like a stupid question to even consider. Great job!
ReplyDeleteI'd have to agree 100%. I love going for a long run after I'd had a bad day, or even when I'm have a good day. I love playing sports and dancing too. The thing I like about exercising is it's taking some time out to do something for yourself and your body. It's like saying thanks to yourself!
ReplyDeleteAlthough I often have a hard time getting up the motivation to get out and exercise, I also agree. Running is therapeutic, and I can always count on a good run to chase away a bad mood, or lack of motivation. Often if I'm having a bad day, I can trace it back to missing my runs for a few days. They say that the body and soul are connected--if you take care of your body, your soul is happy too. You have learned that, and I think you are right to say that everyone would be happier if they learned the same principle.
